Our raw materials
Pano Cru is developing it's offer with shopping bags made of raw
materials 100% eco-friendly, and fairly produced and traded.
It uses exclusively natural and renewable raw materials, that use
eco-friendly production methods, without harmful impacts on the
environment and that
are biodegradable and recyclable at the end of their long life.
It fosters to work exclusively with partners that undertake social
ethical practices.
The raw materials currently used are Fairtrade cotton, Fairtrade
organic cotton and jute.

Cotton is a natural vegetal fiber, biodegradable and recyclable which
is eco-friendly when cultivated organically.
Organic cotton is cotton that is grown without pesticides from plants
which are not genetically modified.
Organic production uses methods and materials with low impact in the
environment, strengthening and maintaining the soil fertility,
contributing to biodiversity:

it uses the crop rotation instead of agrochemicals and artificial
fertilizers;

it uses natural/organic methods for pest control, instead of pesticides.

Jute is a natural vegetal fiber that is
by nature 100% eco-friendly:
-
is traditionally produced without pesticides, fertilizers nor GMOs;
-
is 100% biodegradable and recyclable.
Is one of the strongest natural fibers and it is the most important
vegetable fiber after cotton, in terms of usage, global consumption,
production, and availability.
The best source of jute in the world is the Bengal Delta Plain in the
Ganges Delta, most of which is occupied by Bangladesh and Índia.
